Clean Exhaust Valve Polaris, My exhaust valves only have vacumn lines to them no electrics. Is it broken? If it is how is it connected to the I use scotch brite and brake clean to remove all carbon build up on valve and I also remove exhaust pipe and shove paper towel into exhaust and clean valve bore (in cly) with a tooth I am new to the electronic valves. -- Polaris claims you don't need it near as often. I looked in some of my pics and have these to share First off, Maintenance of the Variable Exhaust System (VES) is limited to a periodic inspection and cleaning of system components. Just make sure you do not knick or gouge the valves. The Riding my iqr and noticed the rpm,s won't go past 6000. You can disconnect the cable from the servo and move the cable by hand to determine if valves are sticking. Then I hit it with a scotchbrite pad. It appears the exhaust valve solenoid has not been functioning properly for a while. That way you can look at the other one to remember which way the first one goes back in if I know this site has a how to clean power valves, But! I just spoke with a person @ Polaris about the power valves and how to clean them.
