Bmw f10 fault code 290900. Jun 5, 2022 · I had the same problem for years, fault code 290900 and check engine light, but car was driving fine. BMW Battersea did my EGR valve under the recall, then the EGR Cooler developed a fault shortly after. Also, look for leaks in the intake and EGR systems. Plus, I’d check the turbocharger and wastegate functionality. So did anyone ever get to the bottom of this fault. Thanks to all who pointed me in entirely the wrong direction lol. Aug 10, 2024 · What I know 100% in my case is that the EGR cooler gets clogged. IT'S CURED !! YAY. Check the EGR valve passages and cooler for blockages or carbon buildup that could slow down airflow. I couldn't detect a pattern to it popping up, could go 2-3 weeks without it appearing, then it might happen twice in a week. No joy. Feb 25, 2020 · It may happen. Bear in mind, it's only the valve that's covered under the recall, and not the cooler. I've the same symptoms and have replaced the same items. Jun 10, 2024 · I had this error code continually on N47 2L 25d for about a 6 month period. I replaced sensors and reseted adaptations, also tried to change adaptation of egr with bimmer link but nothing helped. As a gesture of goodwill they didn't charge me for the diagnostics, or fitting a new EGR Cooler. Check the exhaust manifold, gaskets, and downstream parts for any leaks. EDIT: I finally got to the bottom of this. I use ISTA to determine it and as the cooler is new, the exhaust flow through the cooler is at 107% and then drops, during the 8-10 My code seems to pops up every morning around 10 Celsius degrees.
